Emergency Preparation Tips During Earthquakes

The world has recorded many earthquake incidents for the last years and centuries. 1906 was a bad nightmare for San Francisco as they've experienced the abrupt tremor that affected the rest of their lives.

Also, Indonesia, Philippines, Mexico, and Japan don't escape the tragic event that brought up their life living in a sudden change. Many were killed and properties that cost billions of dollars have fade away in just a moment.

Earthquake is a horrible natural disaster that many are afraid to happen because at any moment from now, earthquake can take place without recognizing anyone. From the most famous person to an ordinary citizen, no one can escape from this awful phenomenon at any given time.

Citizens living next to earthquake-prone areas devote the rest of their lives thinking that there is a possibility one day they may not wake up again.

This thinking brought these people in alertness and preparation before, during and after earthquake happens, which makes them different from other people living in a safer zone due to the fact that they might be hit again by earthquake.

People living in earthquake-prone vicinities have many different precautionary measures to keep them as much as possible safe and alive during and after earthquakes.

They prefer to store several gallons of water supplies and emergency kits comprise of medicines and first-aid tools to rest assured their safeness all throughout earthquake occurrences.

Foods like canned goods, batteries, flashlights and other things necessarily needed are some important things on their lists.

It is barely important as well to fasten heavy and tall things and equipments on the wall to prevent them from falling once such tremor happens. During an earthquake scenario, better hide your self in a very sturdy table.

It will cover your head against any concrete debris that might hit your skull once they fall. However it is more safer to find your way out and go to place where no objects can fall to you like trees, power cables, buildings and the like.

For those who are caught driving a car, it is safer to stay inside vehicle. On the other hand, when you're in a mall, keep yourself away from heavy things or shelves and find a safer place to hide with.

If you're caught in a sport stadium or theater, hide under the seat until the earthquake stops and never join the crowd running as it might cause stampede and worst injuries.

It is very vital not have panics when an earthquake takes place. Most people die not because of the tremors but because they start to panic and they lacked of emergency preparation in earthquake.

They tend to get frightened first instead of responding immediately in earthquake scenarios, which will finally bring them into confusion.

Remember not to react in a frightening way during earthquake but find a way to seek a safer zone for you to hide with.
